I have to finally replace my Ginsey soft toilet seat after 20 years. TWENTY YEARS!! This seat is really made to last!! The only problem is trying to replace it with another since NO retail store carries them anymore!

Instead of having normal round holes for the bolts, the hinges on this toilet seat have weird 1.5-inch by 0.5-inch rectangular openings. The bolts that come with it have 0.5-inch square heads. So, it is not possible to tighten the bolts with a screwdriver - they can't turn. Thus it is not possible to secure the seat tightly to the toilet fixture. If you have Herculean finger strength and can tighten the nuts adequately from underneath the toilet fixture, you might be able to make this work. Personally, I had to return mine.
